Three Questions With Final Gravity
It’s no secret that we love great beer, so we’re lucky that one of the Sacramento region’s best taprooms is just a quick drive away. Final Gravity Taproom & Bottleshop in Roseville always has a great selection of beers on tap (22 to be exact, including one cask and one nitro) and you can count on them to have their fridges stocked with the best cans and bottles from top breweries. Owned and operated by husband-wife team Amy and Kyle Ruthnick, the business opened in July 2012 and quickly became a staple of our local beer scene.
We asked Amy three questions about her business and the beer industry.
Q: Tell us about Final Gravity.
A: We are a taproom and bottleshop specializing in independent craft beer. We offer a rotating draft beer selection, wine on draft and a large selection of bottles and cans to purchase to go.
Q: How would you describe the type of beer you choose to serve? What do you look for?
A: We taste a lot of beer! We stay current on the beer style trends and new brewery openings. We like to have a range of styles on tap as each consumers tastes are different as well as staying current on current trends.
Q: How would you describe Sacramento’s beer scene, and has it changed since Final Gravity first opened?
A: Almost everyone is craft beer focused now, so we go to great lengths to have a taplist that's different than other bars and restaurants in the area.
Final Gravity is a partner of Art of Beer, and we’re excited to have our upcoming coloring contest at their location on Friday, January 11th! Color your way to win tickets to the 7th Annual Art of Beer Invitational.
